Leading Edge Fabricating, Inc. receives approval for Honeywell fusion welding.

Montague, Michigan – February 2011 – Leading Edge Fabricating, Inc. recently had its name added to the Approved Process Source List (APSL) of preferred Honeywell approved suppliers.

Mark VanderWest, Owner and President is pleased to announce that Leading Edge Fabricating, Inc. is now an approved Honeywell supplier for customers that require fusion welding or casting repair of Honeywell aerospace components.

Leading Edge Fabricating, Inc. received its Nadcap (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) accreditation for fusion welding in 2010 and has been working closely with a northern Michigan manufacturer on obtaining the Honeywell approval.

The approval will now allow Leading EdgeFabricating, Inc. to weld the aluminum front fan frame casting for a new Honeywell HTF7000 series turbofan engine.  The HTF7250G, the newest member of the HTF7000 family of engines, will power the new Gulfstream G250 business jet.
